01What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies — such as local storage, pixels and tags — work in comparable ways. Together they let a site remember your actions and preferences, keep it secure, and understand how it is used.

This Cookie Policy explains which cookies "bee Charity" Verein (“BeeCharity”) uses on https://www.beecharity.org, why we use them, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy. Like our other policies, it has been formally adopted by the board.

02Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the website to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They are usually set only in response to actions you take, such as setting your privacy preferences, navigating pages or submitting forms.

Because the site cannot work properly without them, they do not require your consent and are always active.

03Analytics Cookies

Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the site — for example which pages are viewed and how people move through the site — so we can improve it.

These cookies are only set where you have given consent through our cookie banner. They are disabled by default, and the information they produce is aggregated wherever possible.

04Marketing Cookies

Marketing cookies may be set by us or by advertising and social media partners (for example a LinkedIn Insight tag or Meta Pixel) to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and, potentially, to show relevant content.

These cookies remain disabled until you actively allow them through our cookie banner. We do not currently run advertising campaigns, but this category is described so our practices are transparent if that changes.

05Embedded Content

Some pages may include content embedded from other websites, such as video players or maps. Embedded content behaves as if you had visited that other website, which may set its own cookies and collect data about your interaction.

To respect your privacy, embedded media is only loaded where you have consented to the “Embedded media” category in our cookie banner.

08Disabling Cookies

In addition to our banner, most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. You can usually choose to block all cookies, block third-party cookies only, or delete cookies when you close the browser.

Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may cause parts of the site to stop working correctly. Guidance for managing cookies is available in the help pages of your specific browser.

10Retention

Cookies are retained for different periods depending on their purpose. Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser, while persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them.

Your stored consent choice is kept until you change it or clear your browser storage. We keep any data derived from cookies only for as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected, in line with our Privacy and Data Retention policies.

11Updates

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or in applicable law. Material changes will be reflected on this page and, where appropriate, through the cookie banner.

If you have any questions about our use of cookies, please contact us at beecharity1@gmail.com.

This policy has been formally adopted by BeeCharity's governing body and is published as part of our open governance. It is reviewed at least annually, and the version and dates above will be updated whenever it is amended.
