Financial transparency
How money is intended to move through BeeCharity, the controls that govern it, and what we will publish. We describe our model honestly and never present invented income, expenditure or account balances.
BeeCharity is in the early stage of its renewed project programme. Financial statements and project expenditure reports will be published following the applicable reporting periods. This page explains our financial model and controls; it does not report income or expenditure that has not yet occurred.
Our financial model
As a Swiss association, BeeCharity is funded through a small number of lawful sources and spends against clearly defined project and operating budgets. The categories below describe how money is intended to come in and go out — not amounts already received or spent.
Where income comes from
Membership contributions
Contributions from members of the association, in line with our statutes.
Voluntary contributions
Voluntary gifts to support the association's work and running costs.
Other lawful income
Any other income permitted under our statutes and applicable Swiss law.
Restricted donations
Donations given for a named project, only ever spent on that project.
Unrestricted donations
Donations we may direct to where they are needed most, including operating capacity.
Where money is spent
Project budgets
Direct delivery of funded projects: local coordination, permissions, equipment, works and responsible waste handling.
Operational expenses
The minimal administration needed to operate the association responsibly.
Fundraising costs
The reasonable cost of running campaigns and appeals.
Payment-processing costs
Fees charged by payment and donation providers.
Safeguarding and due-diligence costs
Verifying partners and protecting children and vulnerable people before funds move.
Financial controls
- Joint-signing authority: any two authorised representatives must sign together to bind the association or instruct the bank. No individual can act alone.
- Restricted funds stay restricted — money given to a named project is only ever spent on that project.
- Project budgets and plans are reviewed and approved by the board before fundraising begins.
- Record-keeping: income, expenditure and decisions are documented for review against our policies.
- Annual reporting: annual accounts and reports are prepared and published following the applicable reporting period.

Registration status
BeeCharity is a registered association (verein) in Switzerland (UID CHE-457.076.818), with its seat in Dübendorf. Charitable tax-exemption details are still being finalised — until then we operate to charity-standard financial controls voluntarily and will publish full annual accounts once we are able to.
